Fairfield Inn & Suites Raleigh Crabtree Valley

The front desk people are wonderful, and the hotel and rooms are nice. But my room had no microwave, and I had to walk a long way to the ice machine and microwave station. There's just one microwave per floor, and I think there are two in the kitchen area. I couldn't believe the rooms were designed without somewhere to put a microwave, and they don't tell you about it when you check in. The hotel had also received an envelope for me but hadn't mentioned or given it to me at check-in. I only found out after reaching the state fairgrounds for work, so I had to make an extra trip back.

We stayed one night in room #331, and it smelled wet and musty. We're a bigger family, so after considering whether to ask for another room, we decided to put up with it for the night. We thought we'd have a great experience at a Fairfield MARRIOT, but we were wrong. As we were leaving, we realized we'd left my nephew's iPad behind just before housekeeping arrived. We searched everywhere in the room and checked all the bags, triple-checking because it's a big iPad. Something felt off, so we decided to file a police report. After we left, the hotel called about an hour later and said it had been “found in the drawer.” We'd already searched the drawers and the whole room thoroughly. This felt like a cover-up, and I have no doubt they must be doing this regularly. We were completely dissatisfied, learned our lesson, and will never stay here again. BE CAREFUL!!!!

The rooms and common areas were clean, the location was convenient, and the staff were wonderful. Breakfast was okay for the price, and I'd stay again for a business trip. My one suggestion is more lighting. The small lamps weren't enough to light the rooms properly. A few floor lamps would help a lot.

The rooms were nice, and aside from one person, the staff were great. When we first arrived, the person we spoke to was extremely rude and condescending, and charged us incorrectly. A very nice manager fixed the billing mistake easily, and the rest of the stay was great.
