First Heritage Inn Rantoul

Breakfast was good, and the room was clean and comfortable. The location near I-57 was handy, too. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, so I'd stay here again.

The room itself was okay and clean, though the bathroom was tiny, the king bed came with just two very small pillows, and the neighbors were extremely loud. Customer service was poor, too. I was in town for Dads weekend at UOfI and had booked a premium room five months ahead. After taking my ID and charging me, they put me in a regular room instead. The explanation was that a former guest had messed up their only premium room. I asked why they hadn't told me before charging for the premium booking. They said the regular room cost more than what I paid, but I pointed out that five months earlier it had been almost half the price I paid for the room I received. They just stared at me. I had to stay because everything else was booked.

We stayed four days, and nobody cleaned our room. The floors were really dirty, and there were no towels or toilet paper, so I had to go to the front desk and ask each time. I wouldn't recommend this place at all.

The breakfast is just prepackaged food in baggies, and the front desk staff were hard to understand. The rooms were either disgusting or smelled of smoke. Don't stay here. Spend a little more and book somewhere else.
