Lisa at the front desk was really friendly, and the place was quiet and very clean. I travel a lot and often need an affordable place, and this one was great for the price. The room had a microwave and mini fridge, the TV worked, and breakfast was good. I felt at home, like I was back in Georgia. I'd stay here again if I'm in the area.

I got home and saw an extra $100 charge on my card. The next day they charged another $200 even though I wasn't there. It's Christmas, and now I don't have money to buy anything else if I want to. Thanks for robbing me, Super 8. They charged my card without permission, and the first charge was already too much. They suck.

A heads up about room 209: the tub drains slowly, and there are spots where the grout between the tub and floor is cracked or missing. The bathroom tiles are cracked too. The middle of the tub looks like it might have been patched, though I'm not sure, it could be a nonslip pad. When I stood in it, the floor made creaking and cracking noises. Maybe there's water damage beneath it. Be safe.

Lisa at the front desk was accommodating, and all the staff were very friendly with me and my kids. They talked with us about nearby activities and helped with our requests for an extra blanket and sheet. The mattress had good bed bug protection, and we saw no signs of bugs. The desk and drawers were nice and only a few years old. Breakfast was pretty good, with yogurt, fresh fruit, Eggo-style waffles and syrup, milk, cereal, and juice. The Super 8 in U-C only has toast and cereal. If you're going to Urbana Champaign, the drive is 20 minutes instead of 12 for most hotels, but the price is much better, and you get a good breakfast and friendly staff.
