Sleep Inn & Suites Rapid City

After a long day on the road, we stopped for the night. The room smelled great, was clean, and had a comfortable bed. The front desk staff were excellent and really accommodating. I'd stay here again.

The stained carpet was everywhere, and getting around wasn't convenient. I'm an elderly disabled woman traveling with an animal, but they put me on the second floor, with a walk to the elevator and another long walk to take my dog out. Ice is only on the first floor, at the far end of the building. I'd go to Super 8 instead. The rooms are clean there, and the service is great.

I used to like this hotel and stayed here many times, but after a couple of years away I made a reservation this week and left without staying. It was so unclean and poorly kept that it needs a serious overhaul. There was a general dirty smell, and several lobby chairs had visible stains or worn-off fake leather. The first room had something splashed all over a wall; the second smelled like pot. The place just isn't clean.

Ella at the front desk was so sweet, and the suite was just right, really nice and clean. I'm a picky older woman and a former head housekeeper, so I mean it when I say it was clean. I celebrated my birthday here a little while ago. Sorry this review took so long, because the hotel was phenomenal. Thanks for everything, we'll be back.
