It’s a cash-only kind of place with no card on file, and it’s pretty rough if that doesn’t bother you. My daughter was woken by drunk people next door banging on their locked door. It might work for someone in a bind, but it isn’t family friendly. All the rooms are smoking rooms.

Also known as the five palmettos motel. The owners and managers are professional and nice. And no, they do NOT have bed bugs!

Jay was easy to deal with and let me look at two rooms before I picked one. I checked in about 40 minutes ago, so I haven’t slept here yet. It’s a bit dated, sure, but it’s budget friendly and both rooms I saw were clean. There were some burn holes in the comforter, but that can happen in smoking rooms, even at higher-end hotels that offer them. I’ve stayed at mannnnnnyyyyyyyy hotels and motels. I didn’t see roaches or bed bugs in either room. Just a no-frills motel to relax at the end of the day.

The quality of the stay doesn’t really match the high price. It’s not the nicest looking place, though they usually have vacancies. Jay, the owner, is pretty nice, but the staff and help aren’t as good as they were years ago.

I took a drunk man home, then a Black man tried to sell me a cellophane bag containing a white brick. I didn’t want any and said I’d just spent all my money on a tank of gasoline. He then tried to sell me a battery-powered grease gun for $20.00.
