Good Nite Inn Redlands

The front desk team were professional and friendly, and I appreciated that someone was available around the clock. Outside smelled of cigarettes, as other reviews mentioned, though it lingered in our room only briefly while we got settled. We spent two nights without any problems. The room was neat and clean, and nice for the price. The TV was pretty tiny, though.

The room was comfortable and clean, and housekeeping came in while we were out. They even set the kids’ stuffed animals on the beds, which helped them feel at home. Theresa, Linda and Carmello were all so kind and helpful, and really went out of their way for us. I arrived at 1 p.m. exhausted, and they let me check in early. It’s been such a nice stay, I can’t say enough.

I was really disappointed with this Christmas stay, especially after several earlier visits when I thought this Good Nite Inn was worth four stars. The room itself was fine, but a bug ran across the bathroom counter when I switched on the light. Upstairs guests kept stomping around and spoiling several evenings. I called the desk one night, and the noise stopped for a bit before starting again. It happened the following night too, but I didn’t bother calling. I figured the person at the desk wasn’t the one losing sleep, so why would they care? On my last night, I had to park by the entrance, at least half a block from my room, because there wasn’t a closer space. The desk told me parking was first come, first served and no spot near the room was guaranteed. There should be a space by each room. This visit felt like staying at a cheap motel, and I’ll reconsider coming back next time I’m in the area.

For an inexpensive room, this place deserves five stars. It wasn’t luxury, but the price was the lowest around at the time and the room was better than the competitors. The front desk was friendly and efficient, and my room was very clean with lots of towels and pillows.
