Motel 6 Sparks, NV - Airport - Sparks

The front desk guy was friendly at check-in and got me a first-floor room to accommodate my disability. The shower was good. There weren't many outlets, and the faceplate on the one between the beds was coming off. My main complaint is that a cockroach came to visit, then ran off before my partner could kill it. We slept with the lights on to discourage any more from coming out.

The welcoming staff made check-in easy, and the room was clean and comfortable. It worked perfectly for a quick overnight stay at Motel 6 Sparks Airport.

They emailed asking me to review my stay, so here goes. At first, things seemed promising. The man who took my reservation over the phone was kind, and I was looking forward to my first stay at a Motel 6. Then I spent days dealing with a toilet that never worked properly. It wouldn't flush right on day one, and on day two it flooded the bathroom floor. I called the front desk repeatedly. One guy kept saying I'd have to wait for housekeeping to arrive at 9:30 AM. Days passed, but housekeeping never came, even though I reminded them daily. My daughter and I had to use the gas station restroom again and again. I also heard another suite had the same plumbing problem. On day three of our five-day stay, I went to the desk in person. Another employee finally sent the maintenance guy up to fix it. He said the guy hangs around in the lobby and should have come the first time I called. The employee admitted they were wrong and offered a discount. I also finally got towels that day. I'd been without them for days because I used the ones from day two to clean up the flood. After fixing the toilet, maintenance left the bathroom a mess. Housekeeping never came once to clean or mop, and it was left smelling bad. The refund was only $20. I was furious when I saw it in my bank account. They don't care about guests at all. What a joke.

A really nice budget hotel. Check-in was quick, the room was spotless, and the property stayed quiet at night.
