A big plus is how close the Klondike is to Curlew Lake for fishing. We've stayed there several times and have always had a good experience, with friendly staff, great service, comfortable rooms, and good prices.

I really like this motel. It's clean, well organized, and the people are friendly and polite. My one issue is that the bathtub won't drain. I told the very nice lady the first night, and she said she'd come back the next day after I left for an hour to put Drano down it. I waited, but the tub still didn't drain. I called again because I wanted to bathe, thinking it should be an easy fix. I've worked housekeeping at hotels like Best western and baymont inn and suites, and smaller motels such as lone pine and super 8, and where I've worked this would've been fixed within an hour or I'd have been offered a new room for free. Instead, nobody told me it wouldn't be fixed until Monday. I plunged it and that didn't help. I considered snaking the drain myself, but I'm not buying a snake for a hotel when it should've been fixed already. It's a bit unsanitary. I'm not mad, more kind of laughing about it. They're really nice, friendly, outgoing people and the place is awesome. No other complaints at all, and I'd keep staying here, 10/10. I just want the tub to drain.

We found this motel as a last-minute stop during a long vacation, and it worked out great. Traveling with three large dogs usually makes it hard to find a room at a reasonable price, but they let us stay for a modest pet fee and the rate was quite reasonable. Sandy, the manager, was kind and helpful. Our room had fresh paint, new bedding, and updated bathroom fixtures. It had also been recently remodeled, with the second bed in a separate bedroom, which was very helpful. The location in town was nice and quiet, with beautiful flowers outside every room. We even saw wild turkeys and deer just outside. I'd definitely stay again.

Raj and his wife are very nice people. The rooms were clean, and the shower was great, with strong pressure and water that actually gets hot, not lukewarm. The bathroom window wouldn't open for fresh air, though. A little coffee maker in the room would help too, so you don't have to walk or drive somewhere else for coffee. Most places don't open until 8 a.m., and some aren't open at all on Sundays. If we'd known, we would've brought our own coffee maker. Still, the room did what we needed.

The prices are still very reasonable and haven't climbed like they have at a lot of places. The rooms are clean, and the service is good. These folks are always great. If modest but nice accommodations suit you, you'll like this motel.
