Breakfast was a letdown. They had biscuits but no gravy, which seemed strange, and they ran out of sausage without refilling it. The cheese omelets weren’t good either, with fake egg and fake cheese. Getting here was easy, and our room was clean. The shower had great water pressure. The rooms have been updated, though the work doesn’t seem the best quality, but they’re newer than in many older places.

The staff gave great customer service, and the beds and pillows were clean and comfortable. The bathrooms could use a better cleaning. I wouldn’t touch the pool, the water was murky and greenish, and I wouldn’t get into the hot tub with at least a foot of foam floating on it and chlorine shock fumes burning my nose. Having a loud, constantly barking dog in the middle of rooms with other guests was super annoying.

The other breakfast choices were fine, but the eggs were cold because the warmers weren’t working. The creamers were bad, so I didn’t drink the coffee. Staff were friendly when they were around, and the room was mostly clean. The bathroom hadn’t been cleaned well, and the toilet paper holder was dangling off the wall. The floor was freezing, probably because of an insulation problem in the wall or basement, and it kept the heater running nonstop. This last minute booking wasn’t worth it.

We enjoyed the very good breakfast, and I got to have a relaxing swim in the basement pool and hot tub. The hotel and my room were really clean, with an air freshening system that made it pleasant to be there. I also appreciated being allowed a later checkout. It was a relaxing stay. What else?

The kids enjoyed the pool, and the rooms were clean. We were there with my daughter’s softball team, and the friendly staff let us use the lounge for a team meal after we ordered takeout. Nice lounge area, and we’d stay again.
