Comfort Inn, Cleveland South - Richfield

At checkout, we pulled back the sheets to make sure we hadn’t left anything, and found a bunch of stains that I hope were coffee. The stains were dry, but it wasn’t acceptable. We told the front desk and never heard back. We also alerted Expedia, where we booked, but they couldn’t refund us because they couldn’t get hold of the manager. My husband and I checked in at 9 PM, dropped our bags, then I went to the bathroom to touch up my makeup. The toilet paper roll was already used, but we assumed the staff had been busy. We went out with friends and Ubered back, then went to bed. In the morning I took a quick shower, and the drain didn’t work, leaving about two inches of water by the time I finished. Save your money and don’t stay here.

While I was walking my dog in the morning, two men followed me around the parking lot. Other people at the hotel were noisy, and the room itself was dirty, with torn-up carpets and a comforter that felt awful and scratchy. There was what I’m pretty sure was BLOOD on the light switch by the entrance. We found another hotel and ate the cost of our second night here because this place was absolutely disgusting. Just a really unfortunate stay.

The breakfast was cold, not even warmed in the pans, and as a previous review mentioned, this keeps happening without being addressed. Housekeeping never came the next day to change towels or make the bed. Mold and mildew covered the shower area, and the bathroom door was filthy and sticky. There was a rumbling fan noise in the hall all day and night. At checkout I rang the desk bell three times before a woman with an attitude asked what I wanted. I said I needed a receipt, and she sighed and gave me more attitude. Wouldn’t recommend.

The room was clean and the staff friendly. Breakfast was good for the price, and in general I’d say the place was fine. I expected the room to be cleaned during our two-night stay, and we ran short on shampoo. On the last day, Sunday, there was a cat running around the kitchen and table area, jumping onto tables and around the food. Apparently it was lost. I like animals, but I didn’t like that at all.
