Eagle Inn by Hotel O Richmond Midlothian Turnpike

My husband works out of state, and staying in a hotel instead of being home is hard. The Eagle Inn is family owned and operated, and it feels like a safe home away from home. It's clean and affordable. When my husband was sick, the owner picked up his pizza order after delivery couldn't be arranged and brought it to him. He went above and beyond for us, and that meant a lot.

The hotel is old, though we had one of the nicer rooms. The younger person at the front desk was extremely rude and harassed me whenever she got the chance, over anything she could find. She's horrible and shouldn't be working with the public.

We paid $80 for two nights and were assigned room 11. There were cockroaches everywhere, dead and alive, and I took two pictures. The sheets hadn't been changed, with hair and stains still on them. I packed my things and demanded a refund at the front office, but the clerk was extremely rude and refused to give my money back. Very nasty, dirty, disgusting hotel. I'll never go back.

I've stayed at the Eagle Inn off and on for the past few years. The owners take care of the rooms, and there are smoke-free options. They raise their children there too, so there's no funny business going on, and they're always keeping an eye out for everyone's well-being. If there are cockroaches, I figure customers are bringing them in. I can praise the owners for not having bedbugs, and I really appreciate that!
