Residence Inn Richmond Midtown/Glenside

The rooms are huge and have all the amenities you'd need for a weeklong stay. Everyone on staff is friendly and accommodating, and the location is great, close enough to Scott’s addition for a cheap Uber but far enough from the city to stay quiet. We tried the bar food this time, and had one of the best bacon cheeseburgers I've had in ages. I think the chef was named Blaine, and he did a great job. I love this hotel. My only complaint is parking: the hotel shares a lot with the one next door, and by around 9 p.m. the main spaces were all taken.

The room was clean and well cared for, and the Non-Private King had plenty of space for my husband and me. I got there early and they already had the room ready, which was great. The staff were accommodating, too. I picked this hotel because it was near a job I had to do, and I've already booked another stay here for a different job. Breakfast was good. I just wish they had turkey sausage instead of pork. I was very happy with the stay.

There were some nice touches, like popcorn and flavored water, and the breakfast spread looked lovely. The rooms themselves were nice, and being close to the freeway made getting around easy. What bothered us was that housekeeping wasn't available unless you stayed more than three days. The front desk staff also seemed distracted a lot of the time.

The kitchen was a real plus, and the rooms were clean and comfortable for what we needed. The bathrooms could use an update, though. The kitchen worker deserves a special mention. He was friendly and helpful, and I could see how hard he was working to put on such a nice breakfast. At the desk, two of the three people we dealt with were professional and very nice. The other woman was on her personal phone both times I came in and wasn't friendly.
