Hampton Inn & Suites Richmond, IN

The Hampton Inn Richmond was convenient to reach from the Interstate exit, with restaurants and other facilities nearby. My room was clean and ready when I checked in, and the digital key I’d requested was easy to use. Staff were friendly and greeted me whenever I passed by. I had a great experience.

The staff were very nice, and both the hotel and rooms were very clean. But the beds were paper-thin and rock-hard. I have a disorder that causes severe joint pain, and the mattress springs dug into me so badly that I had to switch to a different hotel across the street late at night.

There was a lot of road construction around the hotel when I stayed, but otherwise it’s very accessible from I-70. I’d stay here again. It has the consistent quality I expect from Hampton hotels, with friendly, informative staff and cleanliness throughout. There’s plenty of parking, plus an accessible washer and dryer that cost $1.50 each in quarters. The workout area was kind of small, though very clean.

Breakfast was enjoyable and had plenty of choices, and the check-in staff were kind and pleasant. The hotel was clean and we were very pleased with our stay. My only complaint is that the pool could use a deep clean. We’ll stay again next time we’re in the area.
