Super 8 Centerville-Richmond

We found this gem on our trip from Missouri to Massachusetts for our 50th class reunion. The beds and fluffy pillows were so comfortable, and we got a perfect night’s sleep. The room was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was the only letdown, with just Little Debbie snack cakes or cereal. A couple of exits down the road the next morning, I realized I’d left my wallet on the nightstand. We called the front desk to say we were coming back, and the clerk was waiting outside our room to protect my things. We were so impressed that we stopped there again on the way home.

The front desk person was nice, but the room had roaches and a strong smell, probably from their cleaner. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless you have no other choice.

It’s right off the highway, with food nearby and breakfast in the morning if you’re not picky. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the place was convenient and clean. It’s what you’d expect from a Super8 for the price, a basic place to stay. I’d absolutely come back and recommend it to anyone looking for cheap, clean accommodation.

This is an older, ground-level hotel with truck parking in back and no place to turn around. Godfathers pizza and Dairy Queen are just a couple hundred feet away on foot. I wished there’d been an in-room coffee maker and hot water for a shower. The water pressure was almost nonexistent, and I had to turn off the cold tap just to make the water a little warmer. Live and learn.
