Super 8 Richmond Airport VA

The room was decent, and I didn't see any bugs, but there wasn't a phone in it, which I've never run into before. The TV wouldn't turn on, so I walked down three floors to the lobby. The front desk guy said to plug it in; I went back up, but it still wouldn't work because the cord hadn't been put back in the right place. The WiFi didn't work either, even after he tried to figure it out. We had a smoking room but no ashtray. He said he'd bring one up, but it never came.

Not worth the money. Our room had cockroaches, no toilet paper, a toilet that wouldn't flush, and a stained bathtub. Kids upstairs ran back and forth loudly all day. The area felt pretty gritty, and I think some people may be living there. Do not stay here.

I arrived close to midnight and found out my reservation had been canceled, with no call, email, or other notice. I'd called at 6 p.m. and spoken with a PATEL, who was nasty to me, and explained that we'd arrive late, around 10. The booking was pay on arrival, so I was confused when they tried to charge my card at 8 p.m. The guy working then said they charge cards when the hotel is filling up to hold reservations, or they give the room away. A quick call could have sorted this out. Instead, near midnight, I was left looking for somewhere else to stay.

A staff member was awful about it and said four people couldn't stay in one double room. That seemed very bizarre.
