The garden cottage at The Bennett House felt homey, and the house was sturdy yet beautiful. At other B and Bs, the furniture and decorations have felt fragile with a three-year-old along, but that wasn’t a worry here. The Christmas decorations were still up and so elegant. Richard was kind and accommodating, and they were generous when our schedule changed at the last minute. We had a nice visit over New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, and I’d stay again. My husband wanted me to mention that the sheets felt new, not like a million people had slept on them.

We felt at home at The Bennett House. The breakfast and coffee were fresh and great, and Mr. and Mrs. Smart were sweet and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed. It was warm and inviting, with beautiful decor and furnishings suited to the era. We enjoyed the stay very much. Thanks for making us feel welcome. I’d recommend this B & B!

We stayed in the Belle room at this beautiful historic bed and breakfast. The owners were gracious, and breakfast was delicious, coffee included. We also had supper at Jackson's, just a short walk from the Bennett House. It’s a meat and three place with very good food and free dessert on your first visit. By the way, the Bennett House is currently for sale at a great price.

Breakfast was really good, and the Smart's were wonderful hosts. We had the very nice Hunter room, and the bed was comfortable. The Bennett House is beautiful and within an easy walk or short drive of lots of nice shops and restaurants. I highly recommend it if you’re in the Richmond area.

Our room was roomy and comfortable, and breakfast was delicious. The Bennett House is a beautiful home. We had a wonderful stay this weekend and will definitely come back if we get the chance.
