La Quinta Inn And Suites Rifle

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Rifle worked out really well for our couple of days in town for the Energy and Environment Symposium. We held an after-party for our group at the property, and everyone had a good time. The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating, and the clean, comfortable rooms suited our busy weekday event schedule. It’s a welcoming, reliable place in Rifle, and we’d return.

The pool and hot tub were lovely, and breakfast was good. The hotel looks recently remodeled. Even though it was after midnight, the man who checked us in was cheerful and kind. The walls are a bit thin, so we could hear other guests, but it didn’t disturb our sleep or ruin the stay.

I couldn’t sleep because the room was so noisy. I left at 5 a.m. and complained then, asking the manager for a discount, but she said no and told me I should have said something during the night. I didn’t want to get dressed, pack everything, and move in the middle of the night. I won’t stay again.

I was there for nine days on a business trip, and the service was disappointing throughout. The main issue was the male front desk associate, who had a visible attitude from the first day. When I asked for basics like extra towels or trash bags, he acted like helping me was a burden. One time I called from my room and was put on hold without being told. Not realizing the call had connected, I called back, and the same staff member snapped, “If you're on hold, I'm clearly busy.” I expect professional communication as a guest, not hostility. The hot tub was also out of order for all nine days. Between that and the way staff treated me, I wouldn’t recommend this place for a long business or other extended stay.
