Quality Inn Ripley

D&D Baits held a hunting and fishing event at the Jackson County Fairgrounds, and the hotel was conveniently about 10 minutes away and just seconds from several restaurants. I booked a room when I arrived Thursday evening, and the staff member was friendly and helpful. My interior room looked recently renovated, which I liked, and I didn’t hear neighbors or outside noise. They offer a limited continental breakfast. I skipped the food but grabbed coffee on my way out, and it was great. I’d stay here again.

Room 105 had a lot of problems. There was dried blood on the inside of the door and a dried booger on the restroom wall. The fridge stayed hot even after I adjusted the temperature, and I was constantly killing flies. In the morning there was no hot water, just water that was more cold than warm. The sheets on one bed smelled dirty and used, while the other bed’s sheets smelled clean. We could feel dirt in the bedding, so we had to dust both beds. Housekeeping took our trash while we were out but didn’t leave bags for the bins.

We check out tomorrow, and housekeeping still hasn’t visited once since we arrived. We’ve had no towel replacement, no check-in from them, and only one roll of toilet paper. When my husband asked the desk for towels at 10:08 pm so we could shower, he was told he had to bring down the dirty ones first. The room we were first given on Monday, (11/24/25), had no heat and a smelly fridge. They moved us, but the next room had stained sheets, so we went to Walmart and bought a blanket after that night. Update from 11/27/25: nobody has cleaned our room, and the trash cans are overflowing because they haven’t been emptied. I’ve been here three nights now (11/26/25), and housekeeping hasn’t come once.

My daughter and I got bitten by bedbugs during our stay. Now we have to go through all our things to make sure we don’t bring them to my brother’s home for Christmas. The room also had holes in the walls, no overhead light, no toilet paper dispenser, and a heater that didn’t work. The cheaper price isn’t worth it. Spend the extra money.
