Stay Inn Motel

The new owner was incredibly welcoming and attentive throughout our stay, and the room was VERY clean and comfortable. Boat owners can charge here, and it’s easy to get on and off the highway. The rates are affordable for Ripon, so I highly recommend staying.

For the price, this is perfect: a quiet, clean place run by very nice owners. I stayed for a weekend in Sept 24. It’s not especially walkable to anything fun, but downtown Ripon is only a five-minute drive, and I recommend Red's Bar. I gave the service four stars because there’s no vending machine, though that has nothing to do with the staff. There’s a Kwik Trip a few blocks up.

The friendly man who runs it and the very cheap price tipped me toward four stars, even though I was tempted to give three because of the broken things. This is a basic budget hotel. It was clean, and the bed was comfortable, which matter most to me. But none of the bathroom outlets worked, even after I tried resetting the GFCI. Three of the four bathroom bulbs were out, and the shower drained so badly that the water reached my ankles after two minutes. If you’re on a budget and don’t mind a few things needing work, I’d recommend it.

I stayed a week at the Stay Inn with my mother. The hosts were polite and accommodating, and it was a decent, affordable place in Ripon. Our room and bathroom were clean, and the beds were comfortable. There was a clean mini fridge and microwave, both working fine, plus fast wifi and cable TV. The hot and cold water worked as they should, though the shower faucet took some effort and strength to operate. It’s next to Subway and near KwikTrip, Taco Bell, KFC, and a grocery store. I’d stay again if I needed to.
