Apart from one uncomfortable interaction at the café/bar, we had an exceptional stay. A staff member told us we had to be 21 to sit at the bar before asking for ID or checking our age. We understand and respect the policy, but the way she said it felt judgmental and dismissive. A polite request for identification would have felt much more welcoming. Everyone else we dealt with was kind, professional, and truly cared about our experience. The front desk were warm and helpful, housekeeping kept things spotless and comfortable, and maintenance were prompt, friendly, and attentive when needed. We felt valued throughout the stay. The rest of the team’s outstanding service far outweighed that one moment, and we’d gladly stay again.

We appreciated how quiet the hotel was. We didn’t hear traffic or other guests, so it was easy to relax after a day out exploring San Francisco. The two connecting rooms were spacious, spotless, and comfortable, with excellent water pressure and plenty of hot water. It was our first time staying at Hyatt, and it definitely won’t be our last. The location was fantastic: Chinatown was walkable, and we took the historic street trolley to Fisherman’s Wharf. The fitness center was impressive and well maintained. Every employee we met was friendly and welcoming, especially the market staff. We stopped there several mornings for coffee and danishes before heading out to tour the city. We had a fantastic stay and highly recommend this hotel to visitors.

The Regency Club looked nice, but when it got busy around breakfast, no one really cleared the tables. Its breakfast was the same spread as downstairs, just in a different seating area. I didn’t get to try the happy hour. Breakfast overall was mediocre, with much the same items every day. If you arrive late, maybe an hour before service ends, some things like pastries may be gone and not replenished. The gym is huge, though I wasn’t impressed with the equipment. Most of the strength machines were multipurpose stations, which I don’t like. The common areas now have a contemporary look, while the rooms feel a bit dated, mostly because of the lighting. As a Hyatt Globalist, I was upgraded to a suite, but the bedroom had only bedside lamps and no ceiling lights, so it was uncomfortably dark. I’ve stayed here several times over roughly the past decade, going back to when it was a Westin. The location is fantastic. It’s not my favorite, but it’s a slightly better value than the Grand Hyatt at Union Square, which has gotten a little old.

We stayed for one night. The room was spacious enough, with a view of a small park, and they gave us a credit voucher to use at the market shop by the lifts. The reception has a lovely vibe and a really homely feel. Prime location, and overall a good place to stay.

I’ve stayed near the convention center a bunch of times, and this is one of the better options. Moscone Center is very close, with Target and Trader Joe’s an easy walk away. The room was clean, the view was great, and the staff were friendly. It’s comfortable and solid rather than fancy, and the food at The Market was much better than I expected for a quick bite. There were outlets and charging ports all over the room, including USB-C, which you don’t often see. I appreciated the many amenities you can ask for too. I skipped the gym, but it looked well kept. Convenient stay, and I’d book it again.
