I was still pleased with the room and service, even though there were a few things to know about. There was constant freeway noise around the hotel, and the breakfast and small marketplace had almost nothing for someone on a limited diet. The bathroom door was awkwardly close to the toilet and hard to shut, and the dispensers by the elevators needed hand sanitizer. The good parts: the room was clean, the water got hot, and the bed was comfortable. There were plenty of outlets, plus a fridge and microwave in the room. The elevator and AC/heater were quiet enough not to disturb my sleep. I stayed one night at the Fairfield.

Jeff always makes us feel welcome. He recognizes us whenever we come in, and I really appreciate it. We make a few requests each visit, and they’re always taken care of. Since my son goes to college nearby, this has become my regular place to stay. I’ll be back in two weeks and expect this to remain our go-to spot.

The staff made our marathon weekend stay especially good. They were kind, efficient, very accommodating, and went above and beyond. It’s a well-kept, typical Fairfield, and the location works well for seeing Corning. The highway is nearby too, making it possible to get to Finger Lakes in as little as 25 minutes, depending on what you’re looking for. I’d definitely recommend it.

When our grandchild was due, we stayed at her hotel in Corning, NY. Delivery problems meant we ended up staying much longer than planned, and Rosemary Magnusen did everything she could to accommodate us. Her kindness helped us through a very stressful time. Rosemary and the staff deserve high praise. I hope corporate sees this, or that someone can forward it. A huge thank you to Rosemary!

The road noise was noticeable because our room faced the street, and on some nights the outside lighting shone right into the window. Still, we had a lovely visit with friends and a good time at the Corning Museum of Glass. The staff were super nice, breakfast was solid, and our room was good. We also enjoyed playing Fairfieldopoly, and the location was great. A solid Marriott option in a town that doesn’t have many choices.
