The Coral Sands

The price was fair and the location was fine, but every time we walked into the room we smelled weed, including in the sheets, bedding, and towels. We stayed three nights and had only one roll of toilet paper. After two days, when it was running low, I texted the contact. He said vacation rentals usually don't provide extras beyond what is left in the unit, suggested free laundry, and said a cleaner might be able to help. I honestly wondered if he was the one smoking weed. Huh? I told him that when I stay at a hotel on vacation, there's enough toilet paper. He never replied. I probably wouldn't have reviewed the place otherwise, but being that stingy over a $1.50 roll really bothered me. After paying to stay there, I shouldn't have to buy toilet paper. Was he suggesting I use the linens and then wash them in the laundry? Gross. DON'T STAY HERE!

I stayed at Coral Sand or Coral Sands, a block from Riviera Beach on Singer Island, and the online photos didn't reflect the condition of the place. The mattress was too big for the wire bed frame. The kitchen had a very old stove, and the fridge/freezer was only three feet tall with a broken freezer handle. The shower was the worst part. It was so dirty I couldn't shower without flip-flops. The disgusting AC unit gurgled and made noises often. This dump was not worth a $100.00 property fee.

We needed a one-night stay because of a booking problem somewhere else, and the property managers took great care of us. The room, pool, and grounds were clean and well maintained. It's in a great spot near the beach, without the noise. I was extremely impressed.

We're looking forward to staying here soon before our Margaritaville cruise. Some reviews seem a little harsh given the price, and this quaint little place looks like it should suit our needs perfectly. I'll update this after we've stayed.
