Motel 6 Dallas, TX - Methodist Charlton Medical Ctr.

Not my favorite or first choice, but it’s reliable and a good stay. The place was very clean, the staff attentive, and everything else was lovely. Pricing is a bit high for a motel. If you want somewhere easy to get to with shopping, food, and bus access, this is a good option.

The beds were incredibly hard, and by morning my back hurt. One of the two beds hadn’t been changed, with black speckles and streaks on the sheets, and there was a hint of urine smell near the headboard. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom. They’d left coffee cups but no coffee maker, and an ice bag without a container. The front desk woman wasn’t welcoming or very informative at check-in. There’s only one elevator, so expect to wait, and it was dirty with cracks in the floor. The hallway carpet was stained, and bags of trash were always sitting in the halls. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless you have to.

I had a good night’s sleep in a great, safe location. When the TV in my room stopped working, they moved me to another room right away and helped carry my bags without hesitation. I could see a family having fun from my window. I’d stay again and again if I needed to.

We were put in a room near the washer and dryer, and heard the water running and dryer tumbling all night. When we complained, nothing was done. Then we reserved another night but canceled before 6pm, actually at 2 pm, and they still charged our credit card, claiming we were a no show. Strike three, you’re out. Don’t bother calling customer service either, they’re just after your money.
