Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Rochester Hills MI

The room was clean, the beds and bedding were great, and there was a new TV. I also thought the place smelled fine. Some reviews mention bad odors in the rooms or hallways, but that wasn't my experience. I was outside a lot as a smoker during my three-day stay and never saw police, despite other reviews saying they're always around. I booked a Jacuzzi room for three days with my two-year-old son. Andre greeted us warmly and was respectful, friendly, and easy to talk to. McCoy was just as polite at checkout and when I needed other things. Management was friendly too, always smiling, and the staff made us feel welcome. I was very happy here and plan to come back soon.

The staff made our wedding-party stay easy. They handled both early check-in and late checkout very flexibly, and everyone we dealt with was friendly and courteous. The lobby and lounge are nice, and the breakfast area was clean. Breakfast is mostly grab-and-go, with filling Jimmy Dean sandwiches, muffins, yogurt, oatmeal, cereal, and similar options. There aren't waffles or powdered eggs and processed potatoes, but that didn't bother me. The beds were comfortable, the linens felt good, and the hotel was clean overall. Some rooms need physical updates, and the place isn't a luxury hotel, but at typically under $100 a night in metro Detroit, I thought the price and location made sense. I didn't see anything in the rooms that felt unclean. Complaints about old water marks on a ceiling tile or dated hallway carpet seem out of proportion to what you pay. If you need a budget room and can live with some things not being updated, this could work well. If every detail has to feel pristine, it probably won't suit you. For our group, the stay was completely satisfactory.

Andre at the front desk was so helpful and accommodating, with a great personality and a really warm way about him. He made a terrific first impression, and his hospitality alone would make me recommend this place. Keep it up 😁👍

The rooms and bathrooms were dirty, and the people at the counter were rude. I was charged more than $150 for a stay of only 11 or 12 hours. The online price was supposed to be $68, but the third-party booking site wouldn't work, so I had to book in person for $85. Everything about the place felt cheap, and the final charge was still much higher. As a Wyndham member, I'm extremely disappointed. I would never return to this location. It needs to be shut down as soon as possible. It felt like they took my money.
