Marriott Rochester Mayo Clinic

We were here for a long time, with one extensive surgery, three weeks of treatment, and more than 28 appointments. We were tired and in pain throughout, and the hotel was a godsend for comfort. The convenient, clean hotel had good food and service, and a well-equipped gym. There were plenty of chances for disappointment over such a long stay, but we never were. I especially want to commend David in the lounge and Daniel, who kept our room pristine.

Paul, our bellman, took great care of our luggage and vehicle and went above and beyond to make the trip run smoothly. The front desk team was also tremendous. They brought extra towels to our room and checked me out by phone as I dashed off to a conference. Our weekend at the Marriott in downtown Rochester was amazing and peaceful, even with construction all around the building. The accommodations were very clean and recently remodeled. I love that they removed the carpet and put in hard floors, which feel much cleaner. I highly recommend the downtown Rochester Mayo!

Anna, the Marriott manager, made an awesome start to our stay. She checked us in, answered our questions, walked us back to our car, and passed our needs along to the Marriott front desk staff. They called our room to make sure we had everything we needed. We also met Luke from the Khaler Hotel when parking was confusing, and he went out of his way to escort us to the Marriott. We're staying at Marriott Mayo now, and the room is roomy, very clean, and smells fresh. Thank you, Anna, for being truly amazing! Meryl and Barbara

I found the $269 reservation through a link from Google Maps to the Marriott site, but checkout changed it to $309. When I called, the first person wouldn't help or transfer me and said to call back. The person I reached then also had no answer, though he said he'd ask someone and that the website shouldn't do that. He even suggested it was a fake site. It feels like they're counting on people not noticing the higher price.
