Motel 6 Rochester, NY - Airport

The most frustrating part has been trying to get a response about my refund. I stayed from Friday, November 14th to Sunday, November 16th, and more than 10 days later I still hadn't received it. I've contacted them several times and been sent to more than three different phone numbers, with no answer. Someone also said there was no information about me in their system, which is incorrect. I have proof of the stay and of the payment on my bank card. I've given the information to my lawyer, who will take action if I don't get a prompt response or solution. I don't want it to reach that point, but I do need a proper answer about my refund as soon as possible. I overlooked several things during the stay: the bathroom had no towels, the bedsheet was stained, and the trash cans had been replaced with bags. I didn't leave a negative review because I believe everyone deserves a second chance, but I feel my need for customer service hasn't been valued. Good afternoon. This was a one-night stop before our flight to Las Vegas, and we'll never stay in a place like this again. We usually choose the Holiday Inn Express or somewhere similar, and I wish we'd paid a little extra here. The room was dirty and musty. It was cold outside in November, and the heater stopped blowing warm air. The janitor came after a wait and hit the unit with his hand, which got it heating again. When we returned from dinner, it was cold once more, so he had to come back and hit it again. I asked if we'd be doing that all night and requested another room. They had to clean one first. The replacement was dirty too, but we eventually got to sleep. We did not eat or drink in the room because it was too dirty. In December I noticed the $100 deposit they'd held hadn't been returned. I called, but had trouble understanding the people I spoke with because of their English. After talking to three people, one sent me to another number, where they couldn't find my reservation or my name. I called the first number again and was told there was a stain in the room, so they kept the deposit. We're in our 70s, not kids, and hadn't eaten or drunk in there. The night cost $193, and they didn't return my $100. My daughter is a lawyer and is filing a complaint with city authorities to investigate. I also filed a complaint with my IHG Visa Card. I expect to get the money back, but it will take time. They really need ICS to investigate too. Please stay away.

The place was all right, though I don't think it's amazing. The lamps, beds, and bathroom were dirty. The air conditioner didn't work at all, and it was freezing. The microwave barely worked, either. I bought a beef patty from the store, and when I started heating it, the whole electricity powered off. People said there were bugs, but I didn't see any and hope I don't. I was only there one night. The experience was okay, but I don't think I'd come back.

The plugs kept switching on and off, so we couldn't charge our phones. The TV was broken, and a kid upstairs was screaming and running around until after 11. After a long day, I just wanted to relax and watch a little TV before bed. The heat had no comfortable setting. It was either too hot or off, so we switched it off to sleep and woke up cold. A disappointing stay.
