We paid $50 a night for two people. Our room was clean, the sheets were clean, and there were no bedbugs in it. Rooms at the back have central air, while the front rooms have AC units. They're trying to improve the place, though it's still a work in progress. Bugs can show up when it gets warm and windows are left open. The hotel can't put four people in a room that's only 50 square feet under the health and safety codes set through the courts. They've brought it a long way from what it used to be.

That place has been absolutely nasty since I was a kid, back when it was called the Rosedale motel. It should be condemned.

Nothing about this “motel” was acceptable. The rooms were filthy, equipment was missing, and the advertised rates were misleading. The manager left people looking to check in waiting for 15 minutes. Some of the other guests seemed to be involved in selling or using pharmaceuticals. I could keep listing problems.

I had to clean the room myself before I felt okay staying in it. The fridge and microwave looked like they hadn't been cleaned in over a year, and I had to ask for toilet paper because there wasn't any. The shower looks pretty sketchy. I'm going to buy flip-flops before I try it.

We lasted five hours before we'd had enough, and they still made $45 off us. The room was nasty: dirty, with bedbugs and cockroaches, a filthy microwave and refrigerator, and a disgusting shower. I told them about it and they didn't seem concerned or willing to do anything. I'm never staying at Rochester Motel again. It doesn't deserve even one star.
