Holiday Inn Express & Suites Rock Falls by IHG

This was my first time at the Rock Falls Holiday Inn Express, and it’s been my best stay with the chain. The hotel is set right in the riverfront park, and our spotless, well-kept room had a river view and a small screened balcony. Staff at the desk, housekeeping, and breakfast were all polite and accommodating. They even opened breakfast early for runners in the Hennepin race, and the on-site EV charger was a big plus. I’d absolutely stay again.

We hosted a large reunion at the Holiday Inn Rock Falls, and the team made it a success. They even made custom signs for the event, which was a thoughtful personal touch, and their attention to detail made planning easier. Staff were professional, friendly, and accommodating from start to finish. After long days at the event, the spotless, spacious, comfortable rooms were a welcome place to unwind. The setup and organization exceeded our expectations. We can’t thank the team enough, and would recommend the hotel for an event or a welcoming stay.

The balcony was a real bonus, and my first-floor room was clean and quieter than I expected. The lobby and breakfast spaces were clean too, and the front desk staff were polite. Check-in went reasonably well given our bookings. I was there on a work trip, and Holiday Inn is my company’s preferred hotel. I can see why, and usually stay at one when traveling. There was a broad breakfast selection, though I wish hotels would offer some hot gluten-free options. The bed was firmer than at other Holiday Inns I’ve stayed in, and both the bathroom and full-length mirrors looked cloudy with age rather than from not being cleaned.

Our rooms all had balconies facing the river, and the Monday and Tuesday manager’s happy hour was a nice surprise. This is easily the best Holiday Inn Express I’ve stayed at, with lots of amenities for the chain and fantastic service. Restaurants are close enough to be convenient, though you can’t walk to them. I’d recommend it to anyone in the area.
