Quality Inn Rock Hill Northeast I-77

The staff are always polite and helpful, and the beds are comfortable. But the aluminum in the bed base makes noise whenever I move. This is our second stay, and both times the floors turned my white socks black. Maybe they need a good cleaning.

The rooms were okay, and booking online went smoothly. The rest of the place smelled awful: cigarette smells in the non-smoking areas and halls, mold in the hallways, and a faint weed smell around the building. There were busted lights, missing switches, doors that wouldn't shut or lock, and other problems. Some of these seem like easy fixes that would make a big difference. I'm not expecting a perfect hotel. At check-in, nobody was at the desk for 30-40 minutes. A worker eventually came in from outside and took her time while on FaceTime. We waited what felt like another half hour for the room cards. She also didn't know the building layout and sent us to the wrong area twice, even though a map was taped to the front desk.

I checked in at 2am on 1/13/25, got a nap, went to do a welding test, and came back around 3pm. The tub had some kind of mat that kept sliding around while I showered. Then I saw roaches running around and on the cup I'd left out. I checked out immediately and asked for the manager, but the manager told the worker there was nothing they could do about my experience. After seeing that, I couldn't get a good night's sleep. If you can, choose another hotel. I'll contact choice to tell them what happened. Room 113.

I've never seen a hotel this nasty, with such awful staff and management. There are roaches in every room, sinks and tubs that won't drain, broken toilets, and water that stays burning hot and won't turn cold. The A/C barely works even at max, and I was sweating in my room. The rooms are basically all the same. There are holes in the hallway carpets, and the staff are rude and seem to care only about money. You have to take out your own trash and clean your room. When you ask for toilet paper or towels, they're rude about it. Only two or three workers know English, and the others know no English. Jeff deserves a shout-out for being amazing. He's the only one who should work here. The front desk worker Cathrine looked like she was high on something, could barely speak, and was really rude. The manager is a jerk who goes after anyone and everyone. They judge people quickly without trying to understand what's going on, and are quick to kick people out. I heard people in the hall yelling and banging on three or four doors, telling the guests they were being kicked out. I'll never stay here again. I'm also calling the health department and an inspector. If they really inspected this place, it'd be shut down in two seconds. I hope the pictures make it clear. The hotel says they've got it under control, but obviously they don't.
