Quality Inn Rockdale

Wade refunded my money and then said we couldn't stay, even though I'd already checked in and paid. It was late, and we just needed somewhere to sleep for a few hours. My service animal was in the car out front with it running, where she could see me. I had documents showing she is a service animal. Wade said I should have brought her in during check-in if she were a service animal, and that we couldn't stay because he didn't believe she was real. He also said the ADA didn't issue cards. I never said she was ADA. She's registered and trained through another company, and that company does issue ID cards. We've flown and stayed at five-star hotels and restaurants, but Quality Inn wanted to turn us away. Wow.

I'd like to speak with the owner or GM about a problem with my reservation. I prepaid for Monday and Tuesday nights, but a breakdown kept me from checking in Monday. When I called to confirm I could still come the next day, I was told the paid reservation had been canceled, and I couldn't get a refund, not even for the second night. I've never heard of that, and neither has anyone I've asked. David at the front desk, if that was his name, was impolite and made snarky remarks while explaining it. He wouldn't give me any information. I would appreciate a call from the owner or GM. If you're thinking of reserving here, I'd be very cautious. This feels shady.

The room had a slight musty smell, but it was clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. We didn't use the hot breakfast. I was there for just one night, and the woman at the front desk was super nice. Check-in was quick and easy.

We needed a hotel for a medical appointment after our usual place was full, and found this one. It was very nice and clean, with restaurants nearby. We'd definitely stay again.
