Sky Inn

This was a work trip, and my colleagues and I booked three rooms. Every one of them felt like a scene from a horror movie. I honestly should’ve slept in my car. I’ve never stayed in a room so disgusting. The most vile place I’ve ever had the displeasure of staying.

I only lasted four hours, but got charged for two days. When I asked the front desk for a refund, they refused because of their policy. I explained what had happened and was told, “it’s cricket season.” Crickets were all over the room, and I found them in the microwave and on the Italian food I’d just bought from the place in the same parking lot. After clearing them out, it felt like something was biting me, though I couldn’t see anything in the sheets. Blue-collar workers, don’t stay here. I’m warning people around LU Hall and at Samsung. Disgusting, do not stay here.

For long-term work stays, it’d be nice if they cleaned the room. Right now they just take the trash and leave fresh towels, though they’ll change the sheets and do a full clean if I ask. My things have never been touched, and the front desk staff have always been nice. The room is clean, the AC works well, and the pool is nice and quiet. The filter needs cleaning, though, and the internet could be better. That seems to be a Rockdale-wide problem. Crickets do get in, but I haven’t had roaches. I’ve stayed here a few times for work, and it’s a decent place for a very fair price.

The room I was given at check-in was dirty, with dead bugs, a toenail clipping on the bed and chair, and something that looked like blood on the AC unit. I took photos. When I asked for a refund, they told me to contact Hotels.com, where I’d booked, and took my key. I asked the front desk employee if I could switch rooms, but he just told me to call the assistance number and left the premises without giving me another key. The number didn’t help. It was 9:05 pm, so I had to find another hotel. Luckily there was a much better one down the street. They still want to charge me for the whole stay, even though I got neither a clean room nor the old key card back. I’m trying to get my $180 refund, but they won’t provide it. The hotel refused any refund and basically told me to F off. Hotels.com handled what it could on its end. DO NOT BOOK HERE. These people are thieves!
