Home2 Suites by Hilton KCI Airport

We had a king studio suite with a huge, comfortable bed, a pullout couch, and a curtain to separate the sleeping and living areas. The full fridge, dishwasher, microwave, and sink were especially handy for our family’s drinks and snacks. Everything was clean, and the whole staff was friendly and accommodating. It felt like a home away from home. The TVs had Netflix, HBO, Disney+, Paramount, and most of the other streaming services, so I didn’t need to use my Fire Stick. Breakfast was standard continental fare, but it was hot and fresh. The hotel is about a seven-minute drive from the airport and has a free shuttle. I didn’t use the gym or indoor pool, but had a look and both seemed clean and functional. Thanks for a great stay.

Devenie at the front desk made us feel welcome, and her sense of humor and customer service were great. We’d arrived an hour and a half before check-in after an eight-hour drive from Texas, and early check-in normally would’ve meant an extra fee. When she saw I was a Marriott reward member, she waived it and found us a room. Our family trip to KC became a great memory. Even with the KC Chiefs beating the Lions, we enjoyed our stay. HOME 2 SUITES is our number one choice when we travel.

The room was great, but the service was awful. By 9 a.m. there was no breakfast left, and the front desk blamed a missing employee. People were shaking their heads over how customers were treated. I regretted staying here. There was only one English-speaking employee on site, and even Super8 gives better service than this fake Hilton hotel. The last time I was treated this way was when I visited New Delhi, India. What an awful stay. I’d rate this particular hotel minus five.

The room stayed super cold, and there was a whistling noise the whole time. Housekeeping woke us early by vacuuming upstairs, even though we’d been told they didn’t start until 11 a.m., when checkout began. When we tried to bring the problems to the front desk, the woman there was unprofessional, didn’t try to resolve anything, and my husband was threatened with the police. I used to work for Hilton and remember how much they prided themselves on making stays comfortable and being the best. After this experience, I’ll never stay here again.
