Extended Stay America Select Suites Rockford State Street

The staff made this place feel like family. Mr. D, Uncle Steve, and Tee Tee Judy were so warm and welcoming, and I was really upset when my contract ended suddenly. I’d happily return if I’m in Rockford again. The area was great, and I found the specialty shoes my feet needed. My room was spacious and clean, and the bedding, pillows, and sheets were the softest I’ve had at an Extended Stay. It was an accidental stay that turned out beautifully. I highly recommend it, even if it costs a couple dollars more. The comfort, atmosphere, and staff are worth it. Thanks for making me feel so comfortable. RJ

I was there for just 17 hours before this happened, and I was told I wouldn’t get a refund. On Nov 22, 2025, while I was asleep, my boyfriend got a call from the District Manager threatening to send authorities to our room unless we left right away. I didn’t get to speak with her. Later, when I went to the front desk after work to find him, I was told he’d been arrested. I was told the police had been allowed into our room because the hotel said he was trespassing. I had signed a contract saying I’d stay for a year, but we’d only just checked in and hadn’t even been there 24 hours. I’m a student and my boyfriend owns his own company. We chose the hotel for convenience, and this has been incredibly stressful and traumatic. My things are still at the hotel until after the weekend. It’s freezing, and I have to sleep in the car this weekend. I want a full refund and an explanation. Why were the police called, and why was my boyfriend arrested without any prior warning or discussion? I’m concerned about how the situation was handled and what it’s done to us.

Benetta at the front desk helped me keep the original rate after the system automatically canceled my reservation before my late check-in that first night. The hotel was clean and quiet, and it has a small exercise gym. Great value. I’ll probably stay again.

I didn’t realize I wouldn’t be coming back, so that day I stocked up on the best gyros ever from Uncle Nick's and dropped some off for the staff too. My contract ended abruptly, and I was really upset. If I’m in Rockford again, I’ll surely stay here. The staff were excellent, warm, genuine people, and the service and personalities were great. Mr. D, Uncle Steve, and Tee Tee Judy made me feel welcome. I didn’t get to meet the 3 shifter, who’s like me, but I’m sure it’s something in the water at this location. I also found the specialty shoes my feet needed at The Foot Lodge, Inc Loves Park IL, thanks to Katie. My feet don’t hurt anymore!!!! The rooms were clean and spacious, with the softest bedding, pillows, and sheets I’ve experienced at an Extended Stay. I highly recommend the place.
