Hilton Dallas/Rockwall Lakefront

We stopped here on the way through and had a wonderful stay. The hotel and grounds were beautiful and elegant, and both the service and food were great. It’s by the lake, with plenty of places to walk around, and makes a nice quiet spot for a weekend getaway. I’d stay again.

We had a wonderful time at the Hilton in Rockwall at the Harbor, and we can’t wait to return. The meals were delicious and beautifully presented, and the atmosphere and location added to the experience. From the moment we arrived, everyone was welcoming and attentive. Special thanks to Markus and his team, who helped us throughout the stay and made everything feel easy.

I only came to the TTEC Convention for a meeting that lasted three hours, so I didn’t stay overnight this time. The staff were patient and helpful when I asked about parking. I did stay overnight for TTEC last year, though. After taking cough medicine, I fell asleep on the balcony. The water view was beautiful, I slept well, and I woke in time for dinner, which I think the hotel catered. It was great.

The other employees we met were kind and professional, and Anna, the Starbucks barista, was especially helpful. But one hallway encounter left us upset. My wife, son, and I were heading to breakfast when we saw a hotel employee, who I assume was a housekeeper, going into rooms while vaping. She was a tall African-American woman carrying a duster, a clipboard, and a vape pen. At first we didn’t think much of it, but as we got closer, my wife politely asked her not to vape near us because our son has asthma. The employee told her to “mind your own business,” then walked off muttering. I meant to report it at the front desk, but the lobby was crowded and there was a long line for the only girl there at the time. My wife suggested letting it go so the incident wouldn’t spoil our day. Still, management should know how some employees treat guests.
