Budget Motel Rockwood

The room needs a lot of patching and paint, and the bathroom fixtures need attention. One bedside light didn’t work, the fridge was dirty inside, and the curtains had holes covered with duct tape. I didn’t check the microwave. The bedding was clean, the bathroom worked, and the fairly new TV was in good shape. It cost $85 for a night, including a $10 security deposit. Remember to ask for that back when you return the key.

There were bed bugs, and they charge a $40 cleanup fee if your vehicle leaks oil on the pavement. This place is a joke. I only had to leave one star to post a review, but it deserves negative stars. It doesn’t deserve even one.

Everything was stained, from the sheets and towels to the washcloths and pillowcases. There were bed bugs, and the place smelled like wet cigarettes. If you can stay somewhere else, do that.

The bathroom was filthy and coming apart, and the mattress seemed questionable. The box spring had been re-covered, but the black covering was falling apart and had originally been white with gray stripes. The room door wouldn’t unlock, so the owner had to try three keys. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
