Quality Inn Rome South

Everything we needed, and at a great price. The rooms were wonderful, with cozy, comfortable beds, and the fitness center was awesome. The common areas have been updated, too. Did I mention how extremely clean it was? This Quality Inn tops the others we've stayed at. Stay here!

The breakfast was a disappointing end to an otherwise fine stay. It was supposed to run until 9 a.m. on the weekend, but by 8:00 the area had run out of eggs, yogurt, and nearly all bread, with just five slices of plain bread left. There were no napkins, spoons, or plain creamer, and my husband had to eat cereal with a fork. The facility itself was nice, our room was clean and comfortable, and check-in was quick and friendly.

When we got back to the room, we noticed stains on the walls, beds, chairs, blinds, shower, and mirrors. My stepbrother also saw screws coming loose from the outlets, which is a serious safety concern, and the TV wouldn't work. Earlier, the room had been extremely hot and had a strong odor. My stepsiblings and I went looking for the pool, but there isn't one. A worker followed us from floor to floor and stared at us. When we met Mom, she tried to help find it, and we ended up at the fitness room. It had only three machines, two of which didn't work. Our keys wouldn't let us back out, so that same worker had to open the door to the main hotel. Each time my stepsister reached for the handle, he closed the door on her, nearly catching her fingers. It happened two or three times.

A good budget hotel needs clean rooms, good service, and a quiet setting. This place had all three.
