Sunrise Inn and Suites

We got in at one in the morning and needed a place that would take our dog. The staff were accommodating and helpful, especially after learning we were visiting an ill relative. They said they'd only had the place for a few weeks, so there's room to improve. Our room was clean but smelled smoky. The smoke detector had been taken down, and there was no coffee creamer, sugar, or cups. We stayed two nights, but the room wasn't cleaned and the towels weren't changed.

We asked for one bed and a smoking room, but got charged extra for two beds and put in a non-smoking room. When we checked it, the beds were disgusting and unmade, like someone had slept in them, and there were gross white stains all over the floor. The front desk woman insisted the beds were made, though we took pictures of everything. She offered another room, but we declined and asked to dispute the charge because they wouldn't refund us. Terrible place, do not recommend.

The owner and manager was friendly and courteous, and the two rooms we rented at the Sunrise Inn and Suites were spacious, clean, comfortable, reasonably priced, and convenient for our plans. We'll choose this place again when we're visiting in Rome.

I left for another hotel in under an hour and didn't get my money back. There was a roach on the bed, another on the nightstand, and one on the ceiling. The toilet wouldn't flush, the TV didn't work, there was mold, and the room smelled terrible. The sheets and blankets looked as if they had pee on them. I was only passing through town when I booked here. Don't go.
