Staybridge Suites Chicago O'Hare - Rosemont by IHG

The penthouse is still lovely, and I’d recommend it. I especially love watching the morning sun come through those big windows. My only small complaint is that the fitness area could use a good dusting and wipe-down. One more thing after checking out today: just before I was about to shower with a face mask and shower cap, the water was shut off unexpectedly. Maintenance came in to confirm it was off, and the front desk gentleman helped by giving me access to another room to shower. I’d worked out earlier, so I needed one. I managed to shower as best I could, and they also gave me a later checkout.

Having a kitchen area helped us feel more at home with a one-year-old, and the hotel even delivered a crib to our room. I stayed for a week, and it was one of my most comfortable hotel experiences. Being in a hotel with a little one can be challenging, but this stay became a great memory. We enjoyed the pool and free breakfast, and the lobby was beautiful, with a nice seating area where we could have coffee from the coffee bar. They also offer free dinner Monday through Wednesday. It wasn’t fancy, but it was a nice option, and there’s a soda machine too. The restaurant on the main floor served very good food and was family-friendly. Being so close to the airport, with a shuttle, was convenient. I worried about noise, but it wasn’t noticeable, apart from seeing the planes.

There’s plenty to eat, get coffee, and shop within a mile and a half, and you can walk to it. I like staying at StayBridge for the service and breakfast options. At this location, though, coffee isn’t available outside breakfast hours like it is at other locations. Maybe that’s because there’s both a restaurant and a coffee shop inside. It’s close to the airport, so you can watch planes flying by all day, but I didn’t hear them in the room. Excellent place to stay.

The evening social and morning breakfast were about what I expected, and I enjoyed my one-night stay. I’d come back. The hotel areas felt modern, clean, and comfortable, and the staff were professional. The front desk handled check-in, checkout, and everything else quickly. My room was clean, everything worked as it should, and the bed was comfortable. It’s near the airport, so there’s noise in the area, but I had no trouble with it inside.
