Deluxe Inn Of Roswell

I travel a lot and have stayed in Roswell several times, but I won’t come back here. My room was crawling with ants, and little flies came out of the shower. The sheets were so stiff and scratchy from what seemed like too much bleach that I couldn’t lie on them, even fully dressed. The pool was scary, too. I was yelled at over my dog, despite not trying to hide it. No one told me at check-in that dogs weren’t allowed, and the dog was visible and barking from the car window while I checked in. My dog stayed crated the whole time, and I caused no damage. I was there only from 2am to 8am to sleep before getting back on the road, yet they later tried to charge my card without authorization. The management replies to bad reviews make it seem like guests are always blamed and the owner is always right. I wouldn’t recommend this place. Do not bring a pet here.

The location is great, but I wouldn’t stay here again. There were bugs in the room, a damp smell that was hard to ignore, and bugs in the check-in lobby. The mess out back and the overgrown weeds in the pool area were off-putting, and looking at the bathroom windows felt scary, like being in Stranger Things. They seem to be renovating, but the place still needs a lot of upkeep. Our room had drainage problems, and it took a lot of effort to get moved after we were told only the unavailable owner could come do maintenance. The low price isn’t worth it.

I paid about $63 plus tax on a Tuesday in April 2025, and at that price it was decent value. Taco Tuesday at the Mexican restaurant half a block away was good, too. The remodeling looks amateurish, and the old pool area in the middle of the parking lot is now a junkyard. Still, the basics were fine: everything was clean, with no bugs or vagrants, the Wi-Fi worked, and hot water came quickly enough, though it was only just adequate.

We stayed here on a road trip and planned to stop again on the way back because the rate was cheap. But now they suddenly say dogs aren’t allowed, even though we brought our dog on the first stay. There’s also a sign at the front desk about pets, so the policy is confusing. The guy working the desk wasn’t helpful and just said no pets. I’m disappointed.
