DoubleTree by Hilton Atlanta - Roswell

Dear DoubleTree Hotel Manager, My wife and I were at your hotel on May 1, 2026, while our children took part in a chess tournament there. We waited in the lounge, where a private event was also taking place. The event host kindly offered us dinner, which we appreciated but didn’t accept. While I was holding an empty glass and looking for water, two women on staff wearing DoubleTree T-shirts were helping clean up the event. They spoke rudely and told me the food and drinks were only for the private event. I understand that, but I hadn’t taken anything and was only trying to find water. When I explained, one of them directed me elsewhere in a way that felt unnecessarily harsh. The host had been very polite, so I don’t understand why the staff member was so rude. We otherwise liked the hotel’s ambiance, but this interaction left a bad impression. I hope the feedback helps make future guests feel more welcome. Thank you for your time.

Ericka was especially kind and professional, and always ready to help with a warm attitude whenever we needed something. She made us feel at ease, almost like we were at home, and she really helped make the stay a great one. When we had a small room issue on arrival, she reassured us and had it handled efficiently by the next day. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the staff were friendly throughout. I’d happily recommend it and return with family or friends when I’m back in Atlanta. Ericka is a real asset to the hotel.

The room was clean and comfortable, and housekeeping came daily. The location was ideal for the wedding, with easy interstate access and a convenient trip to the venue. Still, this Hilton was a disappointment compared with others we’ve stayed at around the country as Hilton members. At check-in, we weren’t given a room in the block with the other guests or the welcome bag the bride had left at the front desk. It was also the first Hilton we’ve been to that didn’t offer complimentary bottled water in the room, instead charging $5 per bottle, or lobby coffee in the morning. Coffee in the restaurant was $7.50.

We spent six nights here, and a good quality control audit would be fitting. Ladybugs crawled all over our bathroom towels and floor every day. The ice machine on the third floor didn’t work, so we had to go down to the second for ice. The location also felt odd, tucked inside a neighborhood with lots of traffic. The front desk staff were mostly friendly, though I overheard a very unprofessional reply to a friendly guest on our last evening. My wife heard it too, and she spent eight years as a Hilton sales director. Dinner in the evening was pleasant. At breakfast, the food and beverage staff either checked on you or completely ignored you, with no middle ground.
