Element by Marriott Austin Round Rock

The walls are so thin I could hear everything around me, and the road noise was horrible. The location is convenient, I guess, but that didn’t make up for any of it. The hotel isn’t that old, yet it already looks worn out. The rooms feel cheap, the plumbing is terrible, and the fixtures are cheap too. This is nowhere near what I expect. I hate this hotel. I can’t find anything I like about the place. It’s the absolute worst stay I’ve had in quite a while.

The staff were wonderful and very polite. When the first room was too stuffy for me to breathe and my nose got blocked, they apologized and moved me. I’d been fine on the way to Austin, so I’m sure the room vents were the problem, though I don’t know how often they’re cleaned. The new room had a nice layout, but there was so much dust I couldn’t enjoy it. Its toilet also wouldn’t flush properly. We were leaving the next day, so I let that go. The sheets and pillowcases were very thin, and could use an upgrade to thicker ones. Breakfast could use some changes. The fruit mix looked canned and full of syrup, not fresh. Kimchi was served every day, and the turkey sausage didn’t look appealing. I’d hoped for more variety. Your element hotel in albuquerque has a made-to-order menu. The hotel is in a decent area, close to businesses. I’d come back if some of these things were addressed.

The rooms are clean and nice, and breakfast is enough to get you going in the morning. One drawback is the highway nearby. Traffic can be loud at night, and people by the pool can be noisy if they stay out late. Still, it’s a very solid hotel and I do recommend it.

The hotel itself is nice, but the way they handled my situation was incredibly disappointing. I had to leave unexpectedly for the birth of my child and they still charged me a no-show fee. I understand there are policies, but some flexibility and compassion would have gone a long way. Special thanks to Crystal Porter for your “hospitality”. I won’t return.
