Motel 6 Southington, CT - Hartford

The room was tiny and really dirty, honestly disgusting. The receptionist’s attitude made me feel like I was a bother just for checking in. Even one star seems too generous. Unless you like sleeping right next to the heating and air conditioning unit, avoid this place.

The toilet leaked onto the floor from the bottom, which was gross and unsanitary. The bed was like a prison cot, loud and creaky. It was terrible, and I didn’t even stay because it was so bad. I wish they’d refund me. You’d probably be more comfortable sleeping in your car, or going literally anywhere else.

Room 318 on 1/9/26 was dirty, with dirty sheets and no refrigerator or microwave. I had to ask the front desk for a TV remote, and the employee who checked her in was rude. The online price showed $77, but he charged her $91. There was nothing online about weekend rates. Totally disappointed.

The location is convenient, but the motel itself needs to be gutted and redone. The beds are noisy, with metal frames that pop loudly when you move much, and thin walls and gaps around the doors let in a lot of highway noise. The room was full of problems: the bathroom door was coming apart on both sides and its lock was caved in, the sink was completely clogged, and the shower looked filthy. Wall plates were broken, and nearly everything seemed crooked. You might get lucky and find someone at the front desk. This is the worst Motel 6 I’ve stayed at.
