The Victorian Mansion

The grounds were gorgeous, with a big lawn and lovely garden beds, and our loft was spacious and nicely decorated. We enjoyed the short walk up and down the hills between town and the inn. If walking doesn't work for you, the drive is easy and there's plenty of parking in town. The staff were the sweetest and friendliest I've met in all my travels. Paulina, Benjamin, and Joe went out of their way to keep us comfortable and fed. I could've spent the week hanging out with them. We'd stay again if there's room when we return.

Paulina, the innkeeper, was incredibly kind and welcoming, and made us a wonderful breakfast both mornings. My wife and I stayed at the Galena Inn about a week before Valentine's Day, and it became one of our most memorable trips. The inn is well maintained and quaint, with an old-time feel, and just a short walk from the city center. We enjoyed exploring local food and snack spots, especially Big Bills’s Sandwich shop, Great American Popcorn Company, and Corner Churro Cafe. The locally brewed Galena coffee was incredible too. We highly recommend the inn and hope your stay is as memorable as ours.

The Galena Inn is full of character, from the original woodwork to the paintings and cozy rooms. Pauline made sure we had what we needed and told us about Galena's history. She also cooked us a delicious breakfast. We had a wonderful stay and will be back to this beautiful estate.

We chose the Galena Inn for a two-night holiday stay, hoping for a historic setting near main street, and it was a great visit. Paulina was responsive, gracious, and pleasant, and could help with whatever we needed. The common area has comfortable chairs, snacks and drinks, a chess table, and a pool table. She made quiches and pancakes for breakfast on both mornings and accommodated my dietary need with a different plate. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The grounds looked lovely, but since we were there in winter, we didn't sit outside. We'd like to return in summer and enjoy the peaceful outdoors. I recommend it for a local trip near main street Galena.
