The front desk lady was really nice, and the area was pretty quiet despite being near a busy road. I stayed one Wednesday night while traveling from Indiana to Virginia, after seeing the mixed reviews. The room was decently clean, though a bit run down and nothing special. The shower had good pressure and hot water. For the price, it worked for one night, but I wouldn’t stay for several.

After driving more than 10 hours through the night, we reached Russell Springs and realized this was the only motel around. The sign by the road said “24 Managment,” but the front door was locked, the open sign was on, no staff were visible, and nobody answered the phone. We slept in our truck and came back in the morning just to shower and freshen up. The room cost $55, and it was absolutely disgusting. Thankfully our children weren’t with us. It reeked of smoke, with a cigarette burn on the couch. The sheets were inside out, one pillow had no case, and the sheets and comforter had dirt marks and stains. The floor looked unvacuumed, with change in plain sight beside the bed. There were holes in the walls and torn-up spots by the baseboards. The yellow mini fridge looked gross, like it hadn’t been defrosted in years. I wouldn’t go barefoot on that floor. I have pictures of everything. Please have the health department come shut this place down. A refund would be great.

The beds were really comfortable, the sheets were very nice, and I liked the hardwood floors in the room. They didn’t try to make me take decaf coffee, which was great. The room was clean, though the peeling wallpaper in several noticeable places showed that it needs some remodeling. Check-in took longer than I expected.

The place was filthy, and we only stayed because there was nowhere else over Memorial Day weekend. We should’ve just slept in the car. The shower curtain was so dirty we couldn’t bring ourselves to shower, and there were no drain plugs in the sink or tub. Black mould was above the shower. The sheets didn’t fit the bed, and the carpet had holes by the door. We had no cold water, the lamp didn’t work, and the room felt like an ashtray. When I checked in, I told the girl at the desk, “sure hope your rooms are better than your reviews.” She said they were, and that they’d hired new staff to improve the reviews. They still need someone who knows how to manage. Trash cans were overflowing, weeds were growing around the doorways, and there was some kind of glass in the parking lot. I might still call the health department. Run!
