The Westin Cleveland Downtown

Dedo at the front desk was incredibly pleasant and helpful, with such positive energy. He seemed to genuinely care about both guests and employees. He deserves a gold star, and should be in upper management if he isn’t already. We thought our reservation included breakfast, but it must have been booked incorrectly. Dedo came through and arranged a breakfast deal for us. Check-in was easy. We asked for a walk-in shower and were moved to a room that had one. I’d definitely stay here again.

I was able to see my grandma one last time during a lovely Cleveland trip in the last week of 2025. She passed a few weeks later at 104.5. We’d been hoping she’d make it to 105 in May. I still have family there, and this will be my go-to hotel when I come back. The hotel was immaculate, and the staff were so pleasant. Any question I had got answered. I ate regularly at the on-site Masa and Agave, and the food was so good. Even on game day against the Steelers, the team was attentive and thorough. Sidney, William, Emma, Anthony, and Lauren were all wonderful and made my meals more enjoyable.

The hotel has a calm, welcoming feel inside, even with the lively neighborhood energy around it. It’s easy to walk to restaurants, bars, and entertainment, and the location downtown is excellent. The room was clean, comfortable, and well appointed, so it felt like good value for such a prime spot. The staff were genuinely attentive and went beyond the usual to make the stay pleasant. The experience felt polished but still approachable, without unnecessary fuss. A good choice if you want friendly, reliable service and easy access to dining and entertainment.

The central location and friendly staff were the best parts. Aside from those, I wouldn’t stay again. I booked with high hopes because the rating was high and the reviews were favorable, but I left disappointed. At check-in, the staff were helpful and told us the water would be shut off until 5 p.m. that night for renovations. Valet directed us to the garage, where parking with in-and-out access cost over $50 a night. I know it’s downtown Cleveland, but that price is insane. Our key cards didn’t work when we reached the hallway, so we had to go back to the desk. The hall was littered with garbage and clearly hadn’t been vacuumed. The room was decent, but dust covered every surface so much that we didn’t put our belongings down. The bathroom fan didn’t work, and showering filled the room with steam.
