For a night downtown during a major event, $88 was a lot less than the $400-plus near the Capitol, and the bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly and flexible, the location was central, and there were no odd smells. Still, the room felt rough even after remodeling, with chipped paint, scratched furniture, and a finicky door. Traffic on the busy street was loud, so bring earplugs. Cleanliness was a real problem: urine on the toilet seat, hair on the bathroom floor, a used shampoo packet in the shower, a dirty TV remote, and a fan vent caked with what looked like a year of dust. A few extra minutes of cleaning could have addressed it. The free Wi-Fi was buggy and so slow it was basically unusable. My phone hotspot was much faster.

The location was great, but the room wasn't one of the renovated ones mentioned in earlier reviews. It was in rough shape and hadn't been cleaned well.

The woman at the counter was really nice. The place has been remodeled recently and work is still going on, so a few things may look old even though they work. For the price, that felt about right. They require a $20 cash deposit to make sure guests aren't bringing in undeclared visitors. I got it back without trouble after following the rules.

I left after about an hour because the place felt dirty and unsafe. There were stains all over the room, and the comforter had a lot of odd holes and tears. I wouldn't recommend it.

The room reeked of mold, which also made me question whether the living conditions were safe. After our car broke down, I told my family to come in and was assured they'd take care of us, but then the room was rented to someone else. We were meant to have two beds and got only one, so I slept on the floor. Once all the extra fees were added, this supposedly cheap motel cost more than the others. I can't recommend it.
