Best Western Capital City Inn

The place hadn't been cleaned. It smelled musty, like cigarettes and Lysol, and my pillow had black marks on it. Please clean the carpets.

The area was quiet, and we got a good night's sleep. Staff were great, very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was average. The rooms and hotel could use updating, especially around the pool. I had been looking forward to swimming, but changed my mind when I saw it.

The room was nice and clean, and breakfast was amazing. Service was good apart from the hot tub issue, but the stay still wasn't worth the money. The hot tub was out of service. When we asked why that hadn't been stated online, they fairly offered a refund if we'd booked through the official site, just checked in, and hadn't touched anything in the room. We'd used a third party, so we couldn't get the refund. The hotel representative said the official site had a notice, but I checked it before booking for amenities and didn't see one. I didn't argue then because I thought I might have missed it. Looking again later, I still couldn't find any notice. The hot tub was listed among the amenities, just as it had been when I booked. That's why I chose the hotel, and there were plenty of other places nearby we could have picked if a warning had been visible. Please fix the website.

Quiet, clean, and spacious, with good value for the money. It met my needs for a short stop on a road trip.
