Hyatt Place Sacramento International Airport

I'm sharing this to warn families and other travelers. I booked one night at Hyatt Place Sacramento Airport through Chase Travel for December 27-28, 2025. We were coming from Miami with my wife and daughters, ages 3 and 7. The trip involved a three-hour time difference, a six-hour flight, a delay, and heavy holiday traffic at the airport and rental car pickup. We reached the hotel shortly after midnight. The front desk clerk, Mohammed, told me the paid reservation had been cancelled as a “no-show” because we arrived outside their “assigned window.” I explained the delay, holiday conditions, and that we had small children, but management showed no flexibility, empathy, or concern for our safety. Mohammed said rooms were still available, but they wouldn't honor the one I'd already paid for. I was told to ask Chase Travel to cancel it, then book again at the desk directly with him, which meant paying again to get a room. Chase Travel tried to reach the hotel for us, but the hotel refused a refund or exception unless I booked an additional room with them. Nobody tried to help us find a safe solution, despite knowing we had young children and nowhere to sleep in the cold. We were left to fend for ourselves in the middle of the night. We left immediately for a Holiday Inn by IHG down the street, where we were welcomed without hesitation. After hearing what happened, their front desk staff, who had worked in hospitality, said they'd never heard of a hotel cancelling a paid booking while rooms were still available, especially in these circumstances. The experience felt unethical, unprofessional, and extremely shady, and was unacceptable and unsafe. It was completely contrary to what I expect from a Hyatt-branded property. Stay away, especially if you might arrive late, are travelling during holidays, or have children. A flight problem could leave you without a room even after you've paid.

This was the worst stay we've had here, even though we'd been more than 10 times before without any problems. Almost all the towels had black hairs on them. The receptionist called twice to complain about noise, but our kids were asleep and my husband and I were just watching a movie. When I booked, the woman said breakfast was included, but in the morning a man by the buffet entrance said it would cost $11 per person, with kids free. I love Hyatt hotels, but please sort out your staff.

Lakesh and Camille at the bar welcomed us like family and took great care of us from the moment we arrived. The front desk ladies were just as warm, and check-in was easy. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay.

When severe weather cancelled my flight, there was no way for me to reach the hotel. I sent clear documentation, but they still refused both a refund and a credit. The cancellation was outside my control and involved a safety issue, yet I got rigid, dismissive replies instead of any understanding. It made an already stressful situation much worse. I only wanted fair treatment under unusual circumstances, and instead came away feeling taken advantage of. They’ll take your money but seem to offer no flexibility when travel plans fall apart. If weather, an emergency, or an airline cancellation affects your trip, expect no help and be ready to lose what you paid. I’d warn others to book somewhere else.
