Weeks have gone by without any response or repair. When I first moved in, I was told maintenance knew about the cabinets in my unit and would fix them the next day.

The first morning after moving in, I found ants all over the kitchen. The apartment was already in terrible shape: dust covered the closet, there was dirt and debris in the bathtub, and spiderwebs in the entrance, bedroom, and living room. The bathroom counters looked bitten away and completely destroyed. The stove was crooked and still is, so food slides to one side while I cook. The first time I ran the dishwasher, it broke and left a big pool of water on the floor. The move-in process was awful too. After I paid the deposit, the leasing agent said she'd send a video of the unit once it was ready, but she never did. When I emailed the office, they said that wasn't possible. On move-in day they had me download an app to open the entrance gates, but I couldn't access it for a full 24 hours. Each time I brought the moving truck to unload, I had to wait outside for someone else to open the gate. It was incredibly frustrating. Management and the office were barely helpful, and Samari was very rude. I asked for a discount on future rent, and manager Crystal said she'd look into it. Months later, I still haven't heard from her. I moved into this complex some months ago and had previously left a review, but it looks like they took it down.
I needed to find a place quickly because I didn't want to end up on the street with my granddaughter. My daughter and granddaughter and I thought we'd found the right place, and we went through the whole process. I told them I had a Section 8 voucher. After that, everything changed. They sent an email congratulating us on joining the community, then 48 hours later emailed to deny us the place. I spoke with TERRAL, but what he tried to explain didn't make sense to me or anyone else I talked to. I believe there was discrimination, but I don't have time to fight it. I'm sharing what happened to make people aware. 3/2/2026
Please stop spying on me from the vacant apartment across the way. No one has lived there in a year, but the blinds are usually closed and one day they were turned toward my unit, where they could see activity on my balcony or inside. This has gone on for several months, and I have physical video evidence. The response I got felt like a cover-up. I shouldn't have to close up my apartment just to turn on the lights in this overpriced unit because you can already see inside. I already have to deal with residents, homeless people, and delivery workers looking in, and I shouldn't have to deal with management doing it too. One day a strange-looking barefoot woman seemed to be recording into my unit, which prompted me to get cameras. I also notice the security guard paying extra attention to our building but cruising by the other building on rounds, even taking pictures. Police are always over here now during office hours for domestic or vandalism disputes in the parking lot, and management seems oblivious. Why make it a mission to spy on my home? It feels like you're looking for any reason or hearsay to target me. I'm an unfavorable resident here because of complaints, and the building gets active at night. Residents smoke, drink, cook with coals or wood pellets, and have smoky patio parties, as long as they don't let anyone see or word might get back to the office. The possibility of a manager watching tenants from a vacant unit by moving the blinds is a serious privacy concern. Landlords aren't legally allowed to monitor tenants this way, and tenants have a right to quiet enjoyment of their home. If you're in Sacramento, CA, California law provides tenant protections. Keep a detailed record of every incident, including dates and times when the blinds move. Take photos or videos of their positions, especially a recording of them opening or closing. If possible, discreetly set up a camera on your balcony to monitor the vacant apartment.
I moved in today from Chicago, and Samari helped us get settled smoothly. She was kind, informative, and even helped carry things into my apartment. I'd definitely recommend her as a leasing specialist. Looking forward to a great time here at granite point!
