I’m a cab driver, and I brought a customer from San Francisco who was looking for a motel and had booked online. At the counter, Maria, the Spanish lady, said there were no rooms. When I asked when my passenger could get one, she said after 2 PM. Then she came out and told us we couldn’t park or wait there because it was private property. I had work and needed to pick up rides, but my passenger was an American Black woman in a wheelchair, and I felt bad leaving her alone. I waited for her friend to come get her. Maria was very rude throughout, even when I asked for the manager’s name and a phone number so I could understand what was going on. She wouldn’t give me the manager’s name, but I eventually found a business card. The manager’s name is Mr Hitesh Patel. I want to ask him why he keeps someone who is so inexperienced at speaking with customers. She kept telling us to leave the private property and said we couldn’t wait until 2 PM. I feel sorry for the lady in the wheelchair. People reading this should think about why they give business to a company that isn’t reliable. They should prioritize people in wheelchairs and older people who need a place to rest. Very poor service. The motel is Oasis Inn at 18th Massie Ct, Sacramento CA95823.
